# Availability Status

Where are availability statuses applied in Advanced Inventory? What are the different options for configuring availability statuses?

Availability status codes can be applied to location or inventory objects.

Location objects include the following: **Location, Zone**

Inventory objects include the following: **Item, Lot, Serial Number, Owner, Job, Job Cost Code, Inventory Handling Unit, Outbound Packing Unit**

Availability status codes can be configured with the following duration types: **Timed** - Hold is applied for a specific amount of time, **Permanent** - Hold is applied as long as the availability status code is active

Brent - are there plans on the roadmap to have other availability status types besides no movement? Where you could still move items into a location but you can’t remove them or the opposite no movements in but out is allowed?

Yes, the following additional availability movement types are in the roadmap backlog.

- movement in only
- movement out only
- movement with warning
