# Use of nwSkipTotal

Hi there

Please can you clarify the use/purpose of `nwSkipTotal` in API calls, specifically fetches? I am seeing a significant difference in performance when passing true vs false. I have checked the integration documentation, but couldn’t find anything there unless I am looking in the wrong place?

There is a release note from the 24.1 release `RN-24.1-[Nextbot]-5208` _Data Fetch Endpoint Changes_ that discusses `nwSkipTotal`:
