How do I scrap damaged or defective inventory items?

I have several units of inventory that I need to remove because they were broken - how can I do that and accurately update my inventory levels?

Items may be removed from inventory tracking within the system by processing an Inventory Scrap or Inventory Adjustment transaction via the corresponding Inventory Scraps or Inventory Adjustments applications.

Within these transactions, you can enter an Item and Organizational Unit, specify which Inventory Location has the excess material, write a reason code like “Damaged” or “Lost,” and clarify transaction information like dates, quantities, and Lot or Serial assignments.
