How to Hide the Relationships Tab in a Tree-Style Relationship Application

I have a Relationship-type application configured with the Tree style. I need to keep the record detail section displayed on the right side, but I want to hide the native Relationships tab that is automatically included in this application style.

I can control the visibility of any additional tabs that I create, but I have not found a configuration option, field dependency, or action that hides the native Relationships tab.

Is there a supported way to hide only the native Relationships tab while retaining the detail section and the relationship tree on the left?

@lpopovici I looked into this further and it does not look like this is supported. Feel free to submit an official enhancement request via Freshdesk (include a link to this post).
