How do Item Balances help me manage my inventory?
The item balances application holds a trove of information regarding the current levels of where your inventory is being held, what level of commitment it is obligated to, and what is currently on-order. By expanding an item balance record, users are able to see their Quantity on Hand, current commitment quantities for different transaction types, and if an item has been backordered.
Any transaction that impacts your current quantity on hand will update the appropriate Item Balance bucket.
