Am I not able to extend tables of type 'Setting'?

Hello!

I am trying to extend inventory settings to add a new option for users. However, I got the following error when trying to extend the table: Error - A base table of an extension must be of type Main, Header, Detail, or Summary. The table you have selected is of type Settings.

Are we not allowed to extend setting tables at all? Is the recommendation then as partners to always have our own settings apps even if they are duplicative?

I can confirm that Settings tables do not currently support extensions.

So what would be the recommendation here @ian.p ?

Also, is there any enhancement request for this?

You would need to duplicate I guess. I am not aware of an existing enhancement in the backlog.
