Can I confirm that when a patch lands/updates are done in the environments, customisations are automatically being created? This is what I am seeing, but wanted to check first.
And, if this if this is the case, is it possible to “turn off” the creation of the customisations in certain environments when a patch lands/updates are run in the environments?

Hi Claire,
Yes - certain apps are auto-customized by the system based on Solution dependencies. They are created when a Solution is activated (or reactivated) which happens every patch.
There is not currently a way to deactivate this behavior, but we are working on removing this requirement so that behavior will go away in the future.
