Cloud Inventory is pleased to announce a new Open Beta Program for Android and iOS Mobile Clients. This message contains information about the program and how to participate.
Disclaimer
The beta versions of the Cloud Inventory Android and iOS Mobile Client are used to test and validate product enhancements and address customer issues. It will not represent a final or production build of the Mobile Client. In addition, while participant feedback is not required, Cloud Inventory encourages it.
Beta Process
During the development process, Cloud Inventory will release the beta version of the Android and iOS Mobile Client to the program participants for testing. Participants receive a Beta Release Notification message indicating the testing and feedback period is open. The beta testing duration lasts for no less than two weeks. During that two-week period, participants can provide feedback to be incorporated into the Mobile Client production release.
Feedback
Beta program participants install and test standard business processes with the beta release Mobile Client. Cloud Inventory asks that you report and provide feedback regarding inconsistencies between the Mobile Client’s performance and the stated changes in the release notification, as well as any contradictions to the current production release. The notification message also includes the link to provide feedback, and that link sends your feedback to all participants in the beta program according to their platform. Sending feedback to all participants reduces duplication and alerts other participants to issues they might not test.
Note: Providing feedback outside the feedback window stated in the notification potentially prevents that feedback from being addressed in the Mobile Client production version.
