I want to create a new supplier to be used on procurement orders - what’s the best way to set up a new supplier record?
Supplier records can be created from the Suppliers and Contacts application located on the Menu.
From there you can create something as simple as a record with just a Contact Name or define many attributes used to default or process Supplier related documents. Things like Primary Contacts, Tax Information, Addresses or Time Zones can help you better interact with your supplier record.
This record also provides links to create other related records such as Bank Accounts, Supplier Qualifications or Holds among others.
It is important to note that creation of Supplier records could be limited in your company to a particular role. If you find yourself without access to this application. Speak with your system administrator about adding the Supplier record for you
There is one more option which is Supplier Quick Entry from the NW menu if you don’t need detailed setup. The same permission restriction could apply to this application also
