Interactive Reports: Can grouped rows over join tables be sorted in descending order?

Hello Community,

I’ve built an interactive report with group rows over a join table. The first column is a number. When I try to apply sorting (descending order) on this first column — or on any other column — the records remain in ascending order and do not re-sort.

I tested this with a colleague and we both reached the same conclusion: it seems like descending sort may not be supported in interactive reports when grouped rows are built over join tables.

Before logging this as a potential enhancement, I wanted to confirm with the community:

  • Is descending sort currently possible in this scenario?

  • Has anyone found a workaround for sorting grouped rows in join-based interactive reports?

Sorting grouped rows in descending order is not supported today unfortunately. This has been requested a number of times, so I am pretty sure there is already an enhancement idea out there for it. I don’t believe there is a good workaround at this point in time.
