Do synonyms work on layout applications when the synonym is applied to the base application?
Iād need to test this to know for sure. This question makes me worry that that we may have a gap. If you do not see synonyms being applied to the layout, when they are defined for the base application, this is a bug. A temporary work around would be to duplicate the synonym and point it to the layout Application.

I am not seeing the Synonym applied to the layout application. Customizing the Data Item and adding the synonym pointed to the layout application does work. But this will require a lot more overhead. Thank you.
Just to follow up, we do have a bug open for this. It is a gap in Layout functionality.
