We are on DSI version 9.0.31.
We use Intermec handheld scanners, for scanning, and Zebra printers for labels.
We are looking to go with different hardware, but trying to decide what works best. Looking for options/ideas. Looking to go with something more ‘phone’ size, than the standard handheld. Price-point is a factor.
We can provide specific recommendations based on specific use cases, but in a general recommendation we have seen customer be successful with Zebra and Honeywell devices. Both will have models that will be more ‘phone’ sized, a smaller form-factor than a standard handheld.
@joe.martucci Might be too late to help but we are on version 9 as well and use Datalogic equipment. We use the Datalogic Memor10 and Memor11 devices with a Bluetooth scanner. It does have scan buttons on the side of the device as well if you don’t need the Bluetooth scanner. We use it for a picking application where they users are scanning cartons and putting them on a pallet. I attached a picture of what we have. They are running on an Android OS as well. We also had to purchase the Velocity client so it would emulate a telnet session but I think you should be ok to just download the DSI app from Google and it should work just fine. Before we purchased these I had DSI running on Ipods with a Bluetooth scanner and they worked fine.
