I have developed a Forms based MEP JDE Purchase Order Receipt app that calls ND3N4312. Is it possible to enter Landed Costs using this interface? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jeff,
It would seem that if you could get this working through the equivalent E1 transaction P4312, when that is configured to perform Blind processing, that it should also work through ND3N4312 with the same Processing Options version.
ND3N4312 Purchase Order Receipts is a non-interactive interface. With functionality, like Landed Costs, which pops up a separate application window, the ND3N4312 interface must process that functionality blindly. This needs to be configured within the PO Receipts processing options.
> Process Tab > Option 6. Landed Costs 2 = Perform Blind Processing
This works in combination with the processing option for the Landed Cost P43291 application version.
> Versions Tab > Option 10. Landed Cost Selection (P43291)
In theory this blind landed costs functionality should work similarly to how it works through the JDE standard application P4312 PO Receipts.
See the Oracle documentation for additional guidance specific to blind landed cost setup:
- JDE EnterpriseOne Procurement Management Implementation guide
- Landed Cost in EnterpriseOne ( P41291 / P4312 / P43214 / P43032) (Doc ID 625419.1):
“If processing option #6 (P4312 Process Tab) is set to 2, landed costs will be applied, however, the W43291A form will not display this is called Blind Landed Cost. Blind Landed Cost is used when the landed cost fees are consistent and do not need to be reviewed. Upon successful completion of the PO Receipt (P4312) process with Blind Landed Cost, both the Purchase Order Receiver (F43121) and Account Ledger (F0911) tables will be updated to reflect the landed cost entries.”
- Landed Cost FAQ (P41291 / P4312 / P43214 / P43032/ P43291) (Doc ID 1469399.1):
“If landed cost is processed during PO Receipts (P4312) the user can setup Blind Landed Cost Processing.”
There should not be any requirement to pass specific parameters into the ND3N4312 call for this to work, so long as the Processing Options version which is successful in P4312 is passed as a parameter.
