can we change this field by launching the OrderSettingsHeader as opposed to making a data transform for it? Field is locked down in Sales Setup composite app.
Yes, though proceed with caution (also true using data transform method). If you are certain that this field needs to be changed and it will not negatively impact in-flight sales order records that use this particular setting / SalesSubType, this method is valid for updating the value of this field.
