Is there a way of changing sales config records after it has been created?

Is there a way to alter sales config records in an environment? Currently, we do not have the ability to activate/deactivate certain flags and if we try and create a new setting which is similar to the one that was created, it throws a duplicate record error.

Even if we make the sales config record inactive, it does not allow a similar record to be created with different flags being checked.

Hi - Currently, if a Sales Config Subtype is used on a document (such as a Sales Order), it cannot be altered even if it is made Inactive. In order to set up new settings, you will need to do so under a new Subtype.

Ok, but if we wanted to activate the Bypass Shipments flag or any other flag which lives in the Header, we would not be able to do that after the initial creation of that setting?

I have some questions/concerns around this. I understand that you would want to lock the setting down, but what about:

  1. If the initial setup was inaccurate? How would one change the setting other than getting in touch with NW to change it?
  2. How would one utilise and build out processes for these settings in one development environment? It comes across that another environment would need to be spun up for this to occur.
  3. Would it not make more sense for these sales configs to be organisational specific so that it allow some organisation to have different sales configs?
