Work Order Ledger

How do I use the Work Order Ledger to monitor material, labor, and overhead charges?

To monitor material, labor, and overhead charges using the Work Order Ledger, follow these steps:

1. Viewing Transactions:

  • Access the Work Order Ledger page to view all transactions related to work orders, including materials, labor, and overhead.

2. Viewing Errors:

  • If there are any errors in the transactions, they will be displayed on the Work Order Ledger page.
  • To view individual lines with errors, filter for transactions with an “Error” status and navigate to the relevant page (operations, material, time, outputs, or closing transaction detail).

3. Resolving Errors:

  • Attempt to resolve errors by correcting system setups that caused the transactions to fail (e.g., GL mapping issues).
  • If specific transaction lines cannot be resolved, discard them.
  • Reprocess the transaction by changing its status to “Ready To Post” on the Work Order Ledger page.

4. Voiding Transactions:

  • Transactions that have been successfully processed can be voided. This includes operation, material, time, product completion, closing, and cancellation transactions.

5. Reprocessing Transactions:

  • To reprocess transactions that have failed, change their status to “Ready To Post” on the Work Order Ledger page.
  • The transactions will automatically be reprocessed through the workflow.

6. Discarding Transactions:

  • If a transaction has completely failed, discard it by changing its status to “Ready to Discard” on the Work Order Ledger page.
  • For individual material, time, output, and closing transaction lines that cannot be resolved, discard them and reprocess the transaction.
