I searched the helps and used Ed but didn’t get instructions that were very helpful. Any advice on where to get instructions on how to do this as I was under the impression with 25.1 we introduce the ability for the platform to take a spreadsheet and create a simple nextworld application. I may not have the correct roles assigned to allow me to do it but I thought I could at least find the documentation around it first.
You can quickly build an application from a spreadsheet using the Application Quick Start in No-Code Studio. This feature is a great entry point for turning your data into a working app in just a few steps.
To get to the documentation on this, I searched Quick Starts in Nextworld Help and the content page it was under was No-Code Studio. This is a great place to learn more about No-Code Studio and the different quick starts available.
To create an application from a spreadsheet:
- Open No-Code Studio
- From the Welcome page, select Create New Application
- Choose the Spreadsheet option in the Application Quick Start
- Upload your spreadsheet — the tool will guide you through verifying fields, renaming as needed, and then drop you straight into the app builder to continue development
Note: This feature uses AI to interpret your spreadsheet, so it requires an environment where AI is enabled.
You can also launch the Application Quick Start from the Explorer or the Application Home page when creating a new app.
You also need to have the “SYS - Application Developer” role in order to work in No-Code Studio.
Thank you! I do not access dev environments any longer so the link doesn’t help me, but the screenshot and reply are great. I need to request some roles to get the access I need in prod.
The helps and Ed in 25.1 prod are disappointing so I will follow-up on that separately.
That’s a good point. The link is to the dev environment topic. I searched Quick Starts and the content page it was under was No-Code Studio.
dubious about an end customer user using a search term like “quick starts” for this use case
