What does an ownership value of ‘Parent Customized’ on an object mean and how is it different from ‘Customized’? Does this value affect what version of an object is shown when testing?
Something that is Parent Customized means the customization exists in a parent tenant of the active tenant. If the parent tenant is the _base this usually indicates a bug or a problem - I think it’s safe to say there should never be customizations in _base. So if you ever see something as Parent Customized in a production environment that indicates a bug of some sort.
In non-production development and release pipeline environments it’s a little more complicated, as there can be child tenants of non-base tenants. For example if tenant xxx has a customization of SalesOrderHeader app and xxx_test is one of its child test tenants, that customization of SalesOrderHeader will show up as Parent Customized in xxx_test.
