I want to backflush material and time but I don’t want to manually create the transactions, is there a way to do this?
Material and time (setup, labor and machine) can be configured to backflush automatically at a paypoint or on final completion of the work order. Material can be configured by setting the issue type code for the component on the bill of material or work order. Setup and run labor time can be backflushed by setting the labor charge type on the work order routing operation. A separate machine charge type determines when machine time is charged. This is also set on the work order routing operation.
- Material with the issue type of Backflush at Paypoint or Backflush at Final Completion will be automatically issued based on the quantity completed at the paypoint operation. On completion of a paypoint that is not the final operation, components with issue type of Backflush at Paypoint that are on operations back to the prior paypoint are automatically issued. If the completion is on the final operation, components with issue type of Backflush at Final Operation are also included.
- Setup, Run Labor and Run Machine Time with issue type Backflush at Paypoint or Backflush at Final Completion is also charged based on the quantity completed at the operation. The issue types associated with charging time follow the same logic as backflushing material. There are separate setting for how to issue labor vs. machine time. Setup Time is considered to be labor time. Setup labor is a one time fixed charge that is charge on the first completion at the operation.
