There is another issue with this label (actually 8.5 X 11 paper) that may be part of the issue. For some reason it prints landscape when printed. I change the orientation back to 0 and click Scalable to match what my production file looks like, then save it. As soon as I open it back up again it defaults back to 270 orientation and bitmapped. I am not able to get it to stop doing this.
Hi James,
I’m splitting this label template properties issue into a separate topic. It shouldn’t be related to the Time formatting topic we were already discussing. The Orientation option under the ‘Label Properties’ panel will control the orientation of the whole label template, not a specific item. If you were attempting to change the orientation of the Time text you were creating, then you need to select it first and then use the Rotation drop-down.
When you change any of the Default Font attributes in this section of the Label Properties panel, it will simply impact the attributes of new text items that are added to the label template. Changing these properties will not alter any already existing text items. These controls are primarily for convenience, before you start adding text items to a label template.
More importantly, if the label template is not saving your orientation changes, then I would like to try and replicate it.
What is your current EPP build version, from ‘Help > About’?
Version:
10.0.0.5.987
Ah, that is definitely a very old version of EPP and the published release notes indicate this was likely resolved in the EPP 10.0.0.7 service pack.
The current build version is 10.2.0.0. You can request the new version from our Customer Support site or by emailing the Support team at Support@CloudInventory.com. EPP 10.0.0.5 was built on 02-24-2021 and EPP 10.2.0.0 is from 07-23-2025.
As a workaround, you can download the label template and manually correct the orientation attribute with a text editor. Then upload and replate the original label template.
