Hello,
Is it possible in the system to track which application was used to create a specific type of journal entry? For example, for a payment you can create a check a variety of ways. Is it possible to tell which checks were made via Misc. Check application and which ones were made using the Payments application?
One way to distinguish where a transaction in the General Ledger (GL) originated is by using the Transaction Type. Different subledgers and applications post to the GL using transaction types, which can serve as identifiers for the source.
For more detailed information on each transaction type, refer to Nextworld Help — simply search for “Transaction Type”. By combining the Transaction Type with the documentation provided, users should be able to determine which application a transaction came from.

Thank you! We were able to solve this using a LinkID to the source transaction in combination with the TransactionType.
