Does the value in Location Type in “Advanced Inventory Location Setup” drive any functionality, or is it just informative?
Picking and receiving are dependent on the values selected in location type. Receiving has a setting that determines if we can receive only in to receiving location type or any location and allocation for picking has some logic with location type.
Additionally, for inbound order receipt the location needs to be a Receiving or Inspection location and this can drive different behaviors in the application.
