What type of non-stock items can be added to a work order?
Non-stock items that are goods not tracked by inventory can be added to work orders as materials with line type of non-stock, if the work order’s definition type includes Non-stock as a valid component line type. A non-stock item can be added to a work order by specifying the item number (if it is registered in the Item Org Master) or just by entering the description of the component. Since a non-stock item is not managed through inventory, it will not be included in material availability check for work orders, or it will not be issued to work orders.
