How can I handle rework processes in the manufacturing module?
To setup a rework process in manufacturing you can do the following:
- Definition Type Setup - This is used to define the bill of material and routing used for standard rework. You might want to set this up where you ‘Allow Output as Component’ = True. When selected, an output can be listed as a component. You can find more examples of definition type configurations for manufacturing in the documentation. Check out the topic “Definition Types - Discrete manufacturing” in Nextworld Help.
- Work Order Type Setup - A miscellaneous or production expense work order can be created for various types of production expenses or manufacturing overhead that are being authorized and tracked using work orders. Rework work orders and shop cleaning orders are provided as examples, however, additional user defined definition types and work order types can be configured for other types of orders. You can find more information in the documentation. Check out the topic “Types of work orders” in Nextworld Help.
